Swedese Wins Award for Sustainability Initiative of the Year

On Thursday and Friday, this year’s edition of the Furniture Parliament was held, a trade gathering where companies, entrepreneurs, designers, and other players in the furniture and interior design industry come together to discuss current issues, share experiences, and inspire development. This year, the event took place in Tranås. Five awards were presented to companies and individuals who are leading the way through sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration. Swedese received the prestigious award for “Sustainability Initiative of the Year,” with the following motivation:

Through the Swedese Repair initiative, the company has developed solutions to extend the lifespan of furniture, reduce waste, and inspire the entire industry to think in terms of life cycles rather than sales cycles. This 80-year-old company demonstrates that it is truly possible to combine tradition with responsibility for the future.
