What Swedese Repair Restores

1. Reupholstery

Ensuring that the new upholstery fits the frame perfectly is something our upholsterers and seamstresses place great importance on. We start by measuring and scanning the frame of your furniture to achieve the exact pattern for the new fabric. Our cutting machine then trims the fabric with millimeter precision. Once our seamstresses have sewn the pieces together, it's time for the upholsterer to apply the new cover. Our upholsterers make sure the upholstery is a perfect fit and that all seams, zippers, and Velcro fastenings are placed exactly where they should be.

2. New Padding

After many years of use, the padding in your furniture may also need some attention. New padding not only improves comfort but also enhances the shape and appearance of the piece. We use pocket springs and cold foam. We also work with support fabric and jute webbing.

3. Repairing, Treating, and Lacquering Wooden Parts
Our surface finishers can work wonders on the wooden parts of your furniture. We repair, fill, glue, and sand the wood components. You can also choose a new surface treatment—we work with oil, pigmented lacquer, and stain.
Before any new lacquer or oil is applied, the furniture is carefully sanded and cleaned to create a smooth base. The new surface treatment is then applied with the utmost precision to ensure an even and flawless finish. By using high-quality lacquer and oil, and applying techniques that provide long-lasting protection, we significantly extend the lifespan of your furniture.

4. Powder Coating of Metal Parts

We can also help you repaint the metal parts of your furniture. For this, we collaborate with a local partner who specializes in powder coating. The metal parts are sanded, degreased, and cleaned before the new color is “baked” into the metal at 190°C (374°F). This technique creates an extremely durable finish. Most colors can be recoated in a new shade. Even chrome-plated metal can be powder coated in a different RAL color.
