Andreas Klippinge
"I believe my design is perceived as functional, inviting, and simple."

Andreas Klippinge was born in 1981 and grew up in the small village of Påskallavik in Småland, Sweden. He studied design for sustainable development at Linnaeus University in Växjö, where he has also been living and running his studio since 2011.
Andreas specializes in sustainable design for industrial production and has created everything from lighting to outdoor furniture and storage solutions.
"I don’t focus on specific types of furniture; I’m more interested in the design process itself. I want to find a story and really dive into it. What comes out at the other end isn’t predetermined," he says.
For Swedese, Andreas Klippinge has designed the Levi wall shelf, inspired by the Shaker movement’s wall-mounted furniture and the soft forms of the Lamino armchair.
