”To have designed one good chair might not be a bad life’s work,“ said Yngve Ekström. In actual fact he created a great deal of beautiful furniture during his life, but Lamino was particularly special. So precise in its appearance and in its seating comfort that it was selected as the furniture item of the 20th century. And there is only one original.

It’s a time-consuming job to design an easy chair with such precision in its appearance and seating comfort as Lamino. Yngve Ekström created a great deal of furniture during his lifetime, but one item was particularly special. In 1999 Lamino was chosen as the furniture item of the 20th century by the readers of Sköna Hem magazine. There is only one original, and that is manufactured by Swedese – by skilful craftspeople in Vaggeryd in Småland, and from selected wood shaped into beauty and is upholstered with fabric, leather or sheepskin. Just as carefully as in Yngve’s time.
