Problems with plagiarism are discussed in the design industry throughout the world, but until now it has seemed difficult to convict anyone. However, Eksjö district court has just announced two verdicts that will have important ramifications for the entire sector. The court case refers to the world-famous Lamino armchair by Yngve Ekström, and the district court has sentenced the plagiarist for having infringed the copyright and for selling the copy. ”The verdicts show that it is worthwhile pursuing these matters,“ says Attorney at Law Eva Jensen, who specialises in copyright.
