Eva and Peter Moritz
Biography
Pleasure-filled and joyful. Eva and Peter Moritz are a design, crafts and artist couple who work together in all imaginable materials, and with totally different production methods. Many things they create have a close relationship to man, such as furniture, jewellery and cutlery. For Swedese Eva and Peter Moritz have designed the stool and table Open, amongst other things, furniture that gives you a happy and open-minded feeling.
Eva and Peter Moritz were born in 1966 and 1964 respectively. They both have a broad and solid educational design background. Eva has also been trained in visual arts, ceramics, silversmithing and metal design. Peter was trained in photography as well as industrial and furniture design. He teaches art, culture and communication at Malmö University and she teaches silversmithing.
The married couple Moritz live and work in Lund and have participated in a number of exhibitions, particularly in southern Sweden. They are most well-known for the decoration on Norsborg underground station in Stockholm - a sculpture that expresses movement, rotation and unity, and has been given the name "My friend".
