Planes and trains are his office - travelling is a working method. British born and Hong Kong based Michael Young's work is an international star designer. His work has a uniqueness that might come from his constant questioning of typologies and habits. Or from his passion for technology evolution?

Born 1966 in Sunderland, North England, Michael Young studied Furniture and Product Design at the Kingston University London, England.
In mid-90's Terence Conran selected Michael as his favourite designer. Also newly born magazine Wallpaper hailed his work, but Young flew the cocktail parties to Iceland, where the landscape helped him to focus and concentrate. Later he moved to Brussels and then Taipei. And finally Hong Kong - where Michael Young Ltd produces interior, industrial and furniture design right next to the Chinese progressive mass industry.
